Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham continue to seek January transfer window deals as the clock begins to turn on a dynamic month in the market. A new striker remains on Mikel Arteta’s agenda after losing Mykhailo Mudryk, with Leandro Trossard, Moussa Diaby and Dusan Vlahovic all linked with a move to north London. Declan Rice is a key target for the summer, but West Ham want well over £100million.
At Chelsea, a new right-back and central midfielder are big spenders’ priorities and they appear to have identified Denzel Dumfries and Moises Caicedo as their top targets – despite having already completed five deals in a matter of weeks. Finding buyers for their unwanted stars proves a problem, however.
Spurs are yet to sign a January signing but their on-field struggles will likely force them to act. Pedro Porro has been the main target so far and talks with Sporting CP continue as they look to rival Arsenal for Trossard, who is valued at £25million. Kane on Ten Hag’s wishlist
Erik ten Hag has reportedly given the Manchester United hierarchy a list of three targets he wants the club to sign this summer.
Fichajes reports that Harry Kane is the priority, with the Dutchman desperate to strengthen in attack and only sees Wout Weghorst as a short-term option.
Mohammed Kudus and Jordan Pickford are the other two names on the list – it could be another big spending summer at Old Trafford.
Interest across Europe for Garnacho
Juventus and Real Madrid are monitoring Alejandro Garnacho’s contract situation.
The Manchester United teenager has 18 months left on his current deal with no deal yet agreed on an extension.
The Independent reports that Garnacho, currently on £7,000-a-week, told the club through his agents that an offer of £20,000-a-week was not good enough. Clubs across Europe will consider a move if no deal is agreed soon.
Moyes has big plans for West Ham
David Moyes has pledged to ‘build a new West Ham’ if club owners give him time.
The Scot is under increasing pressure after a poor start to the season, even despite summer spending of around £170million.
Speaking on The Diary of a CEO podcast, Moyes said: “I want to build a new West Ham, what does that mean? Many supporters might not like the sound of this.
“West Ham have moved to a new stadium, it hasn’t been appreciated by everyone, so we need to make the most of it.
“It was always the case, when I was manager…we’d say you get a flaky West Ham, they’re not that reliable and you don’t know which West Ham team is going to show up.”

Klopp: We have to change
Jurgen Klopp has insisted he won’t be leaving as the Liverpool boss hints at a major squad overhaul.
While the German stressed there would be no short-term fix in the transfer market this month, the Liverpool manager hinted at a major change in the playing staff at Anfield.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham is believed to be a top target, although the club will likely face intense competition from Real Madrid on that front.
“At Dortmund it was clear when I left, I said to myself ‘something has to change here’. It’s a different situation,” Klopp said.
“Either the position of the manager changes or a lot of other things change. So, as far as I’m concerned, unless someone tells me I’m not going.
“So that means there may be a time when we have to change other things.”

Bergstrom recalled by Chelsea
Chelsea have recalled goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom from Peterborough.
The 20-year-old was first choice under former manager Grant McCann, but the arrival of Darren Ferguson has changed that and Bergstrom will now return to west London.
Ferguson said: “The return of Harvey Cartwright and Lucas Bergström is not insignificant for them, I just felt that I needed a little more experience for the second half of the season, it is why I brought Will Norris into the club.
“I think Chelsea have been pleased with Lucas in terms of the first-team experience he has gained during his time at the club and there is no doubt that he and Harvey are talented goalkeepers.”
Chelsea left with an inflated squad
Chelsea face a struggle to offload some of their unwanted players as they plan to phase out their squad this summer after their £420m transfer spending spree, writes Nizaar Kinsella.
The Blues need to downsize their squad and Kai Havertz, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic all face an uncertain future. But finding buyers for the highly paid stars will likely be a problem as Chelsea continue to overhaul the squad.
Conor Gallagher is a player who is attracting loan interest from Crystal Palace and Newcastle, but the midfielder would prefer to stay unless he is sent off.
Jorginho will likely be allowed to leave when his contract expires this summer and could join Napoli or Barcelona.

Man United pushing for Rashford deal
Manchester United are believed to be confident they can persuade Marcus Rashford to sign a new deal.
PSG remain interested in the striker, who has been in sensational form for Man United this season and still has 18 months left on his contract.
The MEN report that the club remain in talks over a £300,000-a-week deal but won’t go beyond that as they refuse to break their salary structure.
Raya: Each player has goals
Tottenham target David Raya has revealed he will make a decision on his future this summer.
The Brentford goalkeeper is a target for Spurs as they consider replacing Hugo Lloris, with Raya entering the final year of his contract at the end of the season.
“Every player has goals and wants to improve,” he told AS. “Now I focus on my team and this summer we will see what happens.
“If they (Brentford) want to do business they will have to do it, but there is a long season left and my focus is just on doing it well.
“In the summer, we will assess my situation.”

Rice backs Arsenal for the title
Declan Rice has already tipped Arsenal for the Premier League title as the club prepare a huge summer move for the midfielder.
The Gunners have long admired the 24-year-old and standard sports understand that they have now edged out the two Manchester clubs in the race to sign him.
Speaking after West Ham’s defeat at the Emirates Stadium in December, the England star said: “They’re a top team, you can see they’re incredibly well trained, have a lot of attacking talent, a young team and they can go all the way for Sure.
“We tried everything we could to stop them, we failed. You can’t last 90 minutes against a team like Arsenal, it’s the same against City. With their fluid football, they managed to pass.
