Willie Mullins’ weekend runners at Punchestown

Our star columnist Willie Mullins reviews his runners for Punchestown this Sunday, with the return of the tactical movement.

Sunday runners

ODD AND PASS – 12.10 Punchestown

We run Odd And Pass in the Sky Bet Moscow Flyer, he was very impressive in his first run for us at Naas, although he was missing four obstacles due to the low sun. He jumps well, however, and this race is still instructive for Cheltenham. I hope Impaire Et Passe can improve, keep their jumps together and be a very strong contender for this award.

TACTICAL MOVEMENT – 12:40 p.m. Punchestown

Tactical Move is a nice big horse from Stowaway. He’s a nine-year-old boy who had a lot of training problems, as you can see from his absence. He’s a horse I think about a lot, he covers a lot of ground, jumps well and if he can run well and finish in the top three, staying strong, that would be a good result.

BIALYSTOK – 1.10 Punchestown

Bialystok is five years old and we had a small setback with him earlier in the season, which means he’s only coming out now. He works very well at home and he is a horse that we can’t wait to see on the racetracks.

HA D’OR – 2.10 Punchestown

We have two good runners in there Paul picked Ha D’Or who won well making his Fairyhouse debut on a trip we thought was too long for him but we are back here a similar distance . He showed us there that he settles well on the fences, which we hope he will do again. I hope he can continue to jump together and reach the top three.

GLENGOULY – 2.10 Punchestown

Jack Foley rides Glengouly here and he beat him at Leopardstown over hurdles. He beat Telmesomethinggirl at Thurles on his hunting debut, he’ll stick every inch of that trip and won’t hang around if there’s no pace. He will get better as he goes on his journey. Raincoat might be a badass, but we’re happy with ours.
