Versatile Bangladeshi Veteran Shakib Al Hasan does not hesitate when it comes to discussing matters on the pitch with the referees. Just days after charging a referee for a wide ball call that was not given, Shakib faced the referee again in a Bangladesh Premier League match. Shakib, who leads the Fortune Barishal team in the T20 league, was seen shouting as his openers headed towards the Shere Bangla National Stadium. Moments later, Shakib decided to raise the matter with the referees.
barishal opener Anamul Haque Bijoy was reportedly not allowed to take the strike, infuriating Shakib. The versatile veteran approached the match referee and got into a heated discussion. It wasn’t the first time Shakib had fought the referee, having done so many times before.
Typical #ShakibAlHasan, he is not happy, and clarifies his point. Drama before a ball was thrown in the 2nd round between Barishal and Riders.

Shakib had publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the management of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Recently, he had even said that it wouldn’t take him long to fix things, if he was put in charge.
“If they made me the CEO of BPL, it would take me a month or two to fix everything. You’ve seen the movie Nayak, haven’t you? If you want to do something, you can do it in one day,” Shakib said in a press conference.
As for the game, Rangpur Riders managed to put up a decent 158-7 on the board from 20 overs. Fly-half Rony Talukdar scored 40 from 28 while Shoaib Malik went on to score a half-century, scoring an unbeaten 54 on 36 balls.
Mehidy Hassan Miraz bagged two wickets for the Shakib men. In response, Fortune Barishal overhauled the tally to 19.2 overs, securing a win by 6 wickets at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
