Useful on the flat, he found two miles too sharp for him in a novice hurdle at Punchestown last month, but this big field, strong three-pace scenario will suit him down to the ground.
ZANAHIYR – 1.45 Leopardstown
It is high class at its best and ZANAHIYR is a bet value alternative to Flooring Porter here.
The selection suffered a leg injury when they came up short in the Lismullen Hurdle last time out and a line can be drawn through that. He is generally a model of consistency, he has proven himself in the first year and is well worth a try on this trip.
HOLY JUDICIOUS – 2.35 Leicester
He came through the race mightily in the Love Send chase at Sandown last time out and HOLY PLAYER it will be necessary to stop here despite the maximum weight.
He’s gained three pounds, but this is only his fourth start for Skelton’s side and he’s open to further progress. It’s a good opening for him.
OUR JET – 3.10 Leicester
He hit one when second behind Gemirande on his Southwell debut and there was plenty of promise in OUR JETS start over the fences first, so he wants to open his account on the biggest obstacles here. The six-year-old is clearly open to plenty of improvement, impressed with his fencing debut and is in very good hands. It will win races from this mark.
