Kempton 12:45 p.m. – Paisley Park

ITV Boxing Day starts here with the Level 1 Long Walk Hurdle recorded over an extended distance of 3m. it is not a surprise PAISLEY PARK never been to Kempton before as it’s quite tight for a very loud stay. However, there are a number of natural head runners here and they could make for a very strong clip. Obviously my hope has to reverse recent form with Champ, but with lots of rain he could do it for Emma Lavelle and Aidan Coleman.

Kempton 13:20 – Thyme Hill

This is the Kauto Star Level 1 3m Novice Pursuit. THYME HILL jumped badly against McFabulous at Newbury last time and won’t win if he does the same here. However, if he learned from this, he is now too expensive for a horse with his talent, so I will take a chance on Tom O’Brien and Master Philip Hobbs.

Wetherby 13:35 – Sounds Russian

One from Wetherby is the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase over 3m. Questions about a lot of them including Shan Blue who looked brilliant at this track last season. I’m going to stick with a horse in great shape in RUSSIAN SOUNDS who stayed well behind Noble Yeats at Aintree on his last visit. He is progressing well and has strong claims each way for Callum Bewley and Ruth Jefferson.

Kempton 13:55 – Constitution Hill

The level 1 Christmas obstacle over 2 m. It won’t take long. CONSTITUTION HILL is the most exciting jumper in training and Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville should have no problem doing so. He was awesome in the Supreme and Fighting Fifth.

Kempton 14:30 – The Press Man

The star of the day in the King George VI Chase Grade 1 over 3m. In a peloton full of pursuers from the second season, it is without much confidence that I side THE BUSY MAN, officially the top horse in the race with a BHA rating of 170.

The French import has been superb since being sent over the fences, facing just one defeat in seven tries over the biggest obstacles and wins, including the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase at Sandown and Brown Advisory at the Cheltenham Festival.

This latest contest hasn’t been the biggest revival ever, but Charlie Deutsch’s run is a decent stay jumping for fun and he really should be in on it after a comeback success in a handicap business. opened in Newcastle.

Bravemansgame has heaps of talent, although officially rated 6 lbs lower. Like L’Homme Presse, he disappointed behind Ahoy Senor at Aintree, but apart from that he did little harm and came back with an easy shot from Eldorado Allen in the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby. He could easily prove to be quite good and is already a Year 1 winner at Kempton.

Stable mate Hitman is super talented and grew to almost 2m6f at Haydock last time showed what he can do with a romp. He is abandoned by Harry Cobden but if savoring this distance could well give a good turn to Sam Twiston-Davies.

Among the others, with the ground likely to soften, Royale Pagaille could easily do the back-and-forth framing for Rich Ricci. The eight-year-old is going fresh and staying strong.

Kempton 15:05 – Balco Coastal

A pursuit with limited handicap for novices on 2m4f extended. A wide open event. COASTAL BALCONY doesn’t always run on this trip, but did well when tried and is very lightly run, so there could still be more to come. Trained by Nicky Henderson and ridden by Nico de Boinville, a third to Langer Dan in a decent hurdle at Aintree suggests he has the ability to have a chance each way in this pursuit.

So good luck and pray for Christmas Yeeehaaas! Can you hear me Paddy?
