Former Gold Cup hero Kennedy was on Gordon Elliott’s favorite Arctic Ambition 4-11 when he was hampered and knocked down three times.
Paul Nolan’s 20-1 shot Mullins Cross did the damage as he went down three times.
It had a domino effect, forcing Kennedy to down and jockey Sarah Kavanagh from the 20-1 underdog Kilkenny Star.
Race commentator Peter O’Hehir said “a lot of casualties there” as the jockeys finally got up and the horses kept running.
The carnage was good news for Cheerful Chap, as he missed out on an easy winner of the incident-packed contest.
Conor Brassil pounced before the penultimate before jumping the final flight to miss a winner by seven lengths.
