Liverpool’s meeting with Leeds for the end of October has been confirmed, with the kick-off time continuing a “late” trend for Jurgen Klopp‘s side in the coming month.
Klopp’s side finally returned to action on Saturday, with Brighton visitors to the first game of the month, and the first premier league game since September 3.
It’s been a long time and it kicks off a packed schedule that sees Liverpool play 13 games in just 42 days before the World Cup break.
Leeds are one of eight different teams the Reds will meet in October, with the visit of Jesse Marsch’s side now scheduled for Saturday October 29with a kick off at 7:45 p.m. (UK).
Late Saturday check out follows mid week Champions League action at Ajax on Wednesday (October 26) and precedes the visit to Napoli (November 1) three days later.
The change of the Liverpool game against Leedswhich will be shown live on Sky Sports, now guarantees Klopp’s side will have seven of their next nine games with kick-off from 4.30pm.
A double face to the Rangers (8 p.m.), a trip to Arsenal (4.30 p.m.) and Ajax (8 p.m.) and a visit to City of Man (4:30 p.m.), West Ham (7:30 p.m.) and Leeds (7:45 p.m.) makes a month of late kick-offs.
The trip to Nottingham Forest October 22 is the only exception, alongside Brightonwith the 12:30 kick-off sandwiched between meetings against the Hammers and Ajax.
