R2 n°1 – Ferrari man @ $2.25 (in $1.40 after scratch)

Ferrari Man could easily start in the red here, so the $2.25 certainly appeals. It beat Thisismyturf by over 8L last start, but that’s $2.25 vs. $3.60 at the same weights in this..? The form around Ferrari Man reads incredibly well for a midweek lass, with the horse that beat him in twos, Elkington Road, scoring at Flemington on Sunday. His conqueror from the last start, Artzino, also looks like a promising guy. The pacemaker formed by Waterhouse and Bott deserves to break through and should do so here.

CANTERBURY

R2 #7 – Cinderella Days for $2.15

The filly was scratched from the fences last week. It was in a race of fillies and mares, but she is rather against her age this week. She won a 3-year-old BM64 race on her return in late August, leading all the way to W’Farm to beat Lindermann by just under a length. She designed the interior, which should prove a major asset at Canterbury. Dashing Legend appears to be the hardest to beat, but the Team Hawkes filly drew awkwardly into barrier 12.

R6 #2 – Our rebel @ $4

David McColm had a good run with his small team and OUR REBEL (2) was far from dishonored by placing first behind Bottega and Awesome Lad at eagle farm. He won both starts when he was second and beat VENDIDIT (1) in the last one here. He meets this 5.5 kg horse better and with Jim Orman it will be difficult to hold on.
