Byefornow is still unexposed and looks like a possible improvement on its move to 6f, while there are plenty of nursery newcomers that need to be watched in the market, including Yoo Bee See, who is showed promise behind a progressive later winner in a Salisbury rookie last time out. However, it’s hard to get away from Richard Spencer’s great improver TALAMANCAwho has won in style at Windsor and Catterick in his last two races and may well be able to strike again under a double penalty.

This match can go to the very well-mannered OKEECHOBEE, who stepped up his promising early efforts in a clearance at Kempton two weeks ago and set a useful standard under penalty for that impressive success. Dubai Immo has good form in the book, but is 0-7 and has been very disappointing on turf and Polytrack in its last two races.
The preference goes to the slightly run filly of Ed Dunlop DAUGHTER OF WENDELL, who showed clear promise staying second behind a subsequent winner in Chelmsford ten days ago and is open to further progress on this stage up to 2m. The main threat could come from Kitten’s Dream, who is just 1lb taller than when she won the 2m at Southwell in April and looks interesting on this big step back in the journey.
Topping the list is the well-bred filly of Roger Varian ASRAABB (nap), who improved with their clean win at Chelmsford ten days ago and is again a major player from under a penalty in their bid to make it 2-2 in the handicaps. Most of the others have something to prove, but Young Winston came close at Yarmouth last time out and could pose a serious threat if he can back that up for his new yard.

Malcolm (second choice) should be able to win at this level and the increase in travel may be beneficial. TIME STAMP derided his opening handicap mark, however, and returning to 1m4f with a 12lb penalty may not prevent a quick hat-trick.
