‘He has no right…’ – Sir Clive Woodward criticizes Eddie Jones’ latest comments – Ruck

Sir Clive Woodward has slammed Eddie Jones after current England boss Eddie Jones criticized private schools and suggested the whole system needed to ‘blow up’.

The Australians have suggested that the the current system produces players who lack determination and the skill to take the England national team to the next level.

“I have given myself 24 hours before seeking to respond to Eddie Jones’ controversial and disrespectful comments about the private school system in English rugby,” Woodward wrote.

“To be perfectly honest, at that time I expected the Rugby Football Union to come out and say something. But, as usual, we heard nothing from the bigwigs at Twickenham.

He added: “Why does Jones have the right to belittle the English game in this way? When no one from the RFU – like chief executive Bill Sweeney – responds, then you can only assume the powers that be at Twickenham are in fact thinking the same as Jones.

“It’s either that or they disagree but opt for a calmer life rather than holding their head coach to account. Both demonstrate a fundamental failure of leadership.
