Klopp reveals first Man United squad news

Summer signings Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez will both be involved in Liverpool’s first pre-season friendly against united man tuesday, Jurgen Klopp found.

The Reds take on the Red Devils at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 p.m. BST.

Speaking to Liverpool official siteKlopp has shed some light on the players who will be involved, with two of the club’s three summer signings expected to play a role.

Fabio Carvalho appear to be in line to start the game and, despite starting pre-season preparations only on Sunday, Darwin Nunez will also be involved.

“The international boys only came back with us on Monday but, as you can imagine, they came back in exceptional form, which is no surprise, which means they will have time tonight,” revealed Klopp.

“We will also make many changes, of course, throughout the game. We will need it.

“It means Darwin will be in the team and Fabio will be playing for us for the first time and I’m sure our supporters will be delighted.”

A player who will not be involved is Diogo Jotawho is still recovering from an injury sustained while on international duty with Portugal at the end of last season.

Klopp, however, insists the striker’s absence is nothing more than a precaution.

“The plan for United is to use all of our players except maybe a few. We’ll see, but we know one of them is Diogo because of a little problem he had at the start. of the summer,” he continued.

“It’s nothing serious but we decided not to take any chances with him for this game, especially since it’s only our first game of the pre-season.

“Almost all the other boys will all have a few minutes. We’ve brought a great team here, young boys and older guys, and we’re giving them all time.

It is also possible that the game arrives too early for Thiago Alcantara, who was another to pick up an injury towards the end of last season and didn’t fully train in Bangkok on Monday.

It’s unconfirmed, however, and the fact that Klopp hasn’t commented on it may suggest he’s fine with a role.

Full team news will be confirmed in the early afternoon.
